Skyview, Stockholm

(2.8/5 based on 500+ reviews on the web)
Ride in an external elevator along the outside of the largest spherical building in the world at Skyview. Enjoy panoramic views of Stockholm as the car rises up to 130 m (425 ft) above sea level. Two spherical gondolas, each holding 16 people, operate on parallel tracks, with trips about every ten minutes. Tours sell out, especially on weekends and during the summer, so advance tickets are advised. The Ericsson Globe building houses the national indoor arena of Sweden. • Decided to visit within Stockholm Pass, which gives free access to 10:00 to 12:00. The people in the morning was silent and wait their turn had to just 15 minutes. First in the Hall show documentary-an introductory film (in Swedish, but with English subtitles) about the structure and organization of the whole. The group then is loaded into the capsule, the ceiling is revealed and you start to climb up. Everything is exciting, interesting and unusual. But reaching the top you will see the most impressive panorama: on the one hand, with another industrial zone, with the third Stadium and highway. As a result, everything is cool, but kind of spoil the overall impression.

  • Fantastic 360 degree view of Stockholm, We are go to Top of World largest spherical building Ericsson globe in Stockholm. It's go up slowly so we feel exiting. but I think ticket is too expensive (150...  more »
  • Fun way to see Stockholm from above. Nice view of Södermalm. Take the opportunity to go into the Globe, intense experience.

  • Great views! Wait for a clear day but be warned that the sun can heat up the clear globe somewhat. We ended up waiting longer for free spaces than the length of the ride itself so you can save time if you pre-book a desired time slot.
  • The view is great but the ride is not so exiting and it's expensive. I prefer the Stadshuset tower to this.
  • We walke through the hole city to be there and they tell us we have to wait 4h because people has reservate... so we can' t go in -_-
  • While it seems like a great idea the Skyview is not as impressive as you'd expect. Firstly its right out of Stockholm in a more industrial/office style area. To make matters worse the set it up so you look away from Stockholm city center for the entire journey up and down. It was fun but for the price they charge I don't think its worth it you can get much better views of the city for free from the Monteliusvagen.
  • Super duper exciting. The world's biggest spherical building for skyview.
