Skyview, Stockholm

(500+ reviews on the web)
Tourist Spot Arena / Stadium
Ride in an external elevator along the outside of the largest spherical building in the world at Skyview. Enjoy panoramic views of Stockholm as the car rises up to 130 m (425 ft) above sea level. Two spherical gondolas, each holding 16 people, operate on parallel tracks, with trips about every ten minutes. Tours sell out, especially on weekends and during the summer, so advance tickets are advised. The Ericsson Globe building houses the national indoor arena of Sweden. • There's nothing mind blowing for the price - the views from the top can be seen from a variety of other (free) places around the city. An intro video with trivia about the arenas was interesting and well made but the ride itself was short and unmemorable - would be better with an augmented reality glass instead of regular glass so you could tap the location you're looking at and get more info about it. As it is, it was just a high view that's easily beaten by other views around Stockholm. One good thing is that capacity is limited so no fear of it being crowded in the gondola - it's easy to talk and move around and see everything.
  • The ride in a transparent sphere is nice and interesting - but the views from the top are not so special.
  • I'm glad it was free with the visitors pass, nothing special I would not pay for this, the video beforehand was more interesting. Don't waste your time or money.
  • Super View over the Stockholm. Just must to keep them up on top little bit longer ti deserve this 150 kr. But the panorama is fantastic.
  • The view on the gondola is great, although it's not very high, less than 100m, you can get the similar view by climbing up a church tower or clock tower though, so a bit expensive for the charge of 150kr.
