SkyView, Stockholm

3.0
Ride in an external elevator along the outside of the largest spherical building in the world at SkyView. Enjoy panoramic views of Stockholm as the car rises up to 130 m (425 ft) above sea level. Two spherical gondolas, each holding 16 people, operate on parallel tracks, with trips about every ten minutes. Tours sell out, especially on weekends and during the summer, so advance tickets are advised. The Ericsson Globe building houses the national indoor arena of Sweden. • Great attraction. Offers great views of the city. Takes about 2 minutes to ride to the top of the sphere and then you stay there for a bit and then back down. Total time roughly 20 minutes.  more »
  • We all did go up this contraption to have a view of Stockholm town from the top. It was an experience no doubt but the view was not that great for the price we paid. But all world tours have such attr...  more »
  • This is not very far of the city centre and you can get there easily with metro. Go there with friends or your family. I'm sure everyone will love the view, even those who are afarid of hights.  more »

  • This will definitely make the list of touristy things to do in Stockholm. It's part of the Stockholm Pass, so we didn't have to pay extra for it. Unfortunately, the day we chose to do it was rainy and foggy so our views weren't very good. It wasn't at the top of our list of things to do, so we kept it until the end of the trip and the weather wasn't cooperating. This did mean we got to do it by ourselves though. It is a pretty cool thing to experience. The sphere you're in rotates as you go up so that you remain flat. It's nice that it's entirely glass. It's a different way to get a good view which is why I think it was worth it. The location doesn't provide quite as good of views as we got elsewhere though. All in all, I'm glad we did it and I think it's a cool thing to experience.
  • Visited in the winter so was very quiet, just the two of us in the pod, excellent views of Stockholm and included in the price of the Stockholm pass. Staff very very nice and helpful. The cafe is closed in the winter but plenty of places to eat. Also if your brave try walking to the sky view from the center of Stockholm, took about an hour but was a nice walk and a great way to see a little more of the city.
  • Amazing view, but this ride to enjoy the view is quite short and expensive. On a sunny day this glass box gets a little hot. Also experienced 1.5 hr waiting. Good is that the service is good, the glass box is not overcrowded and nice video introduction is very informative.
  • 150 sek for a 15 minutes ride with a short film that explains the area at the begining. As a tourist in Stockholm you got to see this, the Vue is amazing, but it's not that exciting once you've done it for 2 minutes. Be sure to check it out though
  • Interesting engineering and the views is ok but nothing really special, overpriced.
