Skeppsholmen, Stockholm

Categories: Islands, Nature & Parks
Inspirock Rating:
4.5/5 based on 420+ reviews on the web
Though it was traditionally valued solely for its strategic location, Skeppsholmen today showcases a number of art museums and cultural events. Situated at the Baltic Sea entrance to Stockholm, the site reveals a number of older buildings from the island's days as a military center. Military presence on the island is scarce now, and the area is much more attractive to tourists for its art scene and green spaces. Here you can visit the Museum of Modern Art, Swedish Museum of Architecture, East-Asian Museum, and Teater Galeasen. Experience the island by going for a stroll, having a picnic, taking in views of the city's old town, or attending the popular Stockholm Jazz Festival. • Well wrapped up to go wander in this lovely Park. Water's edge you can admire many boats disarmed but charm, serving of annual home. She and Jean Tinguely sculptures under the trees adorned their golden ornaments, what poetry!
