  • For me ... The pros : getting there by turning hard left as you come off the bridge and skirting round by the water past old boats and shipwright’s yards ... a step back in time and displaying way bet...  more »
  • A rather limited collection of modern art. This museum visit you in 2 hours. There is also a museum shop with lots of books and souvenirs. The fact that this museum is free of charge, is a plus. The collection is unique enough to be interesting. Well worth a visit. Moreover, you can also charge the temporary exhibition (s).

  • Would highly recommend as a must see museum in Stockholm if one is into Art Museums. Can spend a lot of time here and I enjoyed walking around at my leisure. There is audio guides available which I would also recommend. Note to travellers, you cannot bring bags/backpacks into the museum. If you do they must be held in your hands, by your side or worn on the front of your body. There is also a closet area as soon as you walk in where you are welcome to leave your coats and bags.
  • My adventures always include local museums no matter if they're good or bad. In this case Moderna Museet is good. Very good, and you'll enjoy every moment as well. The normal exhibits are free to view. They also contain special exhibits which cost money to view. I recommend paying for one special exhibit along with seeing the free one. Walking around the museum outside is also a treat. You'll find sculptures and views. Don't pass this up while in Stockholm.
  • The modern and contemporary art displayed in Moderna Museet is probably not to everyone's taste; however, it is a 'must' visit if you are in Stockholm as it is an interesting museum located in a beautiful part of town; there are also separate buildings that are part of the museum, my favourite (in terms of architecture) is the Drill House.
  • One of the best modern art museums I've ever been to - fantastic works and loved the reading nooks. Also has a great cafe with reasonable (for Stockholm) prices
  • With the art + shop of nice things and books you can have a great buffee for small price.
