Experience medieval life at the simulated town hidden underground at Medieval Museum. The museum conveys an authentic representation of the city's medieval history from the 1250s to the 1520s. The site features 55 m (180 ft) of the original 16th-century town wall, among other monuments excavated in an archaeological dig in the 1970s. Learn about the townspeople in the market square, church, brick houses, and medieval graveyard. Keep an eye out for the king's secret tunnel to the castle. Follow a guided tour or be your own guide; all exhibits are described in detail in English. Brukte ca 1 time her med barna. Litt lite aktiviteter, mest gå rundt og se på utstillingene. Interessant om Stockholms historie.Spent about 1 hour here with the children. Some small tasks, most go around and look at the exhibitions. Interesting about Stockholm's history.show original

The museum really impressed with the amount and quality of various exhibited items. Being free to enter, I expected the museum to have a lackluster showing of a few rooms with a few items in glass cases, but instead the museum features several excavated items from the region, life size models of a medieval house and knights etc, remains of a section of wall and several dioramas related to Stockholm in the medieval period. Definitely a place to visit if the subject (Medieval Stockholm/the medieval time) is interesting to you.
Very nice museum of medieval history of Stockholm. really impressive exhibits, and it's free to visit! Definitely worth going :)
Fun place to visit to get a quick overall history of the city during the medieval period. The information is accessible and it is well organized for people of all ages.
If you are intrested in Stockholms history, this is the place to be.
