Kulturhuset, Stockholm

3.6

Here you'll find many activities, including photo exhibits, concerts, literary discussions, films, theater performances, art exhibits, dance, music, and debates held throughout the five floors of the building. This cultural institution has become a symbol of the growth of modernism in Sweden since opening in 1974. Don't miss the children's library on the fourth floor and the cafe on the second. • Incredibly helpful staff that was nice, smiley and welcoming. I bought tickets, got easy instructions to find the salon and find my seats. Got invited to enjoy other attractions based on the kind of event I was going to that day. Staff at the Coffee place were not good though.
  • Very nice libraries. One library for small children. But that library can, at times, be full of kids and then some kids have to wait to get in. The parkingspace for strollers can also be totally full some times. There is a pretty good café at the top floor. If the weather is nice during the summer you can sit outside up on top of the roof. You get a nice view but only ok coffee.
  • I am a huge fan of their many exhibitions that they held through the year alongside many other activities and performances. You should definitely pay a visit to the roof top bar where you can embrace the view of Central Stockholm up on the roof!
  • various spaces inside are allocated to a changing array of paintings, sculpture, photographs, and live performance groups. Kulturhuset also serves as the focal point for information about other cultural activities and organizations throughout Sweden and the rest of Europe. Inside are a snack bar, a library, a reading room, a collection of recordings. Open Tuesday to Friday 11am to 7pm, Saturday and Sunday 11am to 5pm. Free admission.
  • Nice and with a lot of interesting exhibitions. On the plusside most things are free too!
