Kaknas Television Tower, Stockholm

3.4
Standing 155 m (509 ft) tall, Kaknas Television Tower offers panoramic views of the city, the islands, the sea, and the forests. The tower is the hub for all television, radio, and satellite transmission in the capital city. Finished in 1967 and consisting of 72 pillars, it features both indoor and outdoor observation decks accessible via elevator. If you'd like to capture the views, find the keys available on the viewing platform to unlock the photography windows, so you can take pictures without the obstruction of the steel fence. Visit the cafe at the top for traditional Swedish cuisine. Pack a light jacket to ward off the wind. • We have connected the visit of the tower with a dinner at its restaurant. Except that there the service ehr cooling was (obviously the prospect must meet) we ate well and enjoyed the impressive view on the open terrace. A slightly lighter setting up would increase the pleasure.

Where to stay in Stockholm

Glitzy Stockholm provides an abundance of high-end four-star hotels and international chains that come with a reputation of being pricey and feature a distinguished Scandinavian design. The least-expensive options lie near Central Station. Since offerings tend to be more affordable the farther you go from the city center, you'll serve yourself well to find a spot near public transport. Hostels in the city tend to fill up fast, so book online in advance. Many of hotels offer the
