  • Who would've thunk Sweden, quite little ole Sweden, used to be war hungry? I mean, it's been a number of years but this museum gives a nice overview to foreigners of the wars and whatnot that changed ...  more »
  • Army Museum is a great museum for anyone interested in Sweden's history. Where you can follow how the borders were widened from 1500 's to today with interesting maps and descriptions of the major wars and clashes. Really worth seeing. Do you want to "make a full day" among Stockholm's museums so piece I Army Museum, historical Museum, Wasamuseét and the Royal Armoury is a must in Stockholm. When do you make the what's happened over the last 1000 years in Sweden and mainly the last 500 years. A priceless journey to understand the present.

  • Free entrance, we were there now on winter break and went to one of their children's guided tours. Must say it was absolutely stunning, great tribute to the staff. As told in a way that enthralled children. And that two people had dressed themselves from that time. In our view, it was a "saleswoman" from the thirty years war as well as a Barber-surgeon, the doctor ". There was much to see for the whole family. Very hot can recommend a visit for the whole family.

  • I absolutely loved the army museum, not only is it free which is always good it also cover mainly on the top floor an very interesting part of Swedish history. The museums top floor looks at the history of Swedish conquests and wars up until just before WW1. I found this amazingly interesting as a lot of this was history that isn't very well covered in the rest of Europe. The Museum does a great job of immersing you in the story of Sweden as a young state and both me and my girlfriend were engrossed. A must see in Stockholm.
  • Many exhibits, a must see for anybody interested in militaria or Swedish history in general. Or if you just want to see a lot of old cannons.
  • Fantastic place if you like military and history. 3 levels of free exhibitions will take you from the past to the present military technology, and there are many things that you can touch or use.
  • It's free to enter and learn some history!
  • Really cool museum, quite big and lot of timeless exhibitions. Its admission free in 2016, all text is in English and Swedish and the staff is very helpful. Beware that its not for the fainthearted, there is slightly goreish in the exhibitions. It's war museum after all. Wifi password is warandpeace.
