Experience the frontlines for yourself at Army Museum, which features life-size models of uniforms and weapons. The building housing the museum was built in the 17th century to produce and store artillery weapons. Explore the three floors of exhibits, where you'll learn about mercenaries, crime and punishment, and animals in war. The site depicts Swedish history from the 16th century onwards, including the modern state of neutrality, and includes an impressive collection of artifacts amassed by Swedish soldiers during war, such as flags, banners, and musical instruments. The onsite library features texts on uniforms, weapons, and conscription. Take a guided tour or use an audio headset. • I found The Army Museum by chance. Was the farthest thing from my mind. I was walking around town and came to him, realizing that the entry was free and see two tanks outside the Museum, decided to enter. The Museum is very good, is worth the visit. It has 3 floors and is divided between ancient history and contemporary history. The collection of weapons is very good! Worth the visit!

  • Temporary exhibition in the lobby on the first floor. "My grandmother went mental. Ends in November 2016. An original way to express their attitude to a world without war. The majority of stands has been translated into English.

  • I absolutely loved the army museum, not only is it free which is always good it also cover mainly on the top floor an very interesting part of Swedish history. The museums top floor looks at the history of Swedish conquests and wars up until just before WW1. I found this amazingly interesting as a lot of this was history that isn't very well covered in the rest of Europe. The Museum does a great job of immersing you in the story of Sweden as a young state and both me and my girlfriend were engrossed. A must see in Stockholm.
  • Really cool museum, quite big and lot of timeless exhibitions. Its admission free in 2016, all text is in English and Swedish and the staff is very helpful. Beware that its not for the fainthearted, there is slightly goreish in the exhibitions. It's war museum after all. Wifi password is warandpeace.
  • Extremt intressant
  • Really interesting and very well organized. I have not enough time for details, but hope will come again.
  • Museum in three levels, all the way from 17th-century to today. Reserve 2 hours for visiting
