Military Museum History Museum
Experience the frontlines for yourself at Army Museum, which features life-size models of uniforms and weapons. The building housing the museum was built in the 17th century to produce and store artillery weapons. Explore the three floors of exhibits, where you'll learn about mercenaries, crime and punishment, and animals in war. The site depicts Swedish history from the 16th century onwards, including the modern state of neutrality, and includes an impressive collection of artifacts amassed by Swedish soldiers during war, such as flags, banners, and musical instruments. The onsite library features texts on uniforms, weapons, and conscription. Take a guided tour or use an audio headset. • 3 floors tall. Has military historical artifacts. They even have some old medieval flags and armor. It is located in a neat building, and I think you can even park there if you have a car. There is a gift shop, lockers to put things in for some cash, bathrooms to use, and I think there was a cafe attached. It is $0.00 to enter. :o)
  • A true place to be for any army enthusiast! Great pieces on display in a very well organized museum. Highly recommended!
  • Awesome museum. And it is FREE! Incredible place. Do not miss it.
  • Very good museum, despite it's name focuses more on preventing war. History exhibits are very good and detailed and it's nice to see how they focus on making those permanent exhibits really good instead of putting up lots of temporary exhibits. In my opinion more fun than the history museum although you should visit both.
  • Very cool museum if you are into military history. Three floors of exhibits. Plus admission is free. Well worth the visit.
