  • Same building as Moderna Museet, and the main exhibition is free. We got the presentation of Swedish architecture through the ages with a focus on the last 50 years. The presentation is a series of wh...  more »
  • We went here to watch the exhibition with gingerbread houses and had not set aside time for the other exhibitions. It was a mistake for there is much to look at. Especially for one who is interested in the buildings, which I am. Gingerbread house was lovely to see and smelled lovely. A fun idea and good that even children can take part in the competition at their own level. I think next year almost to contribute yourself. You can send their creation with postnord do you think?

  • I can't say that I liked Museum of architecture and design, probably it is interesting more for people in these professions. A small Exposition, a lot of things in my opinion disputed by its functions and realization. Visitors are few, but the entry was free (it turns out it isn't always). In the same building there are more interesting Museum of modern art.

  • For those interested in architecture, this is a nice enough place to visit. There's descriptions of Swedish architectural history and development, miniature models of both houses that were built, and that weren't, and some other tidbits of knowledge. Free entrance, but the exhibit is small. It shares locale with the Modern Museum, so you can stroll from ArkDes to there, without leaving the building.
  • Really interesting exhibition on housing affordability and availability. Also, a gingerbread house competition! I didn't think I'd be very interested, but it really surprised me. And it's free. It's in the same building as the Modern Museet (modern art gallery)
  • Great collection of art and a really cool store. The audioguide you can download on your smartphone gives you important information about many pieces.
  • The free exhibition was very poor exhibition; junk, it is very hard to understand due to a bad expo design, especially for the sweden home crisis expo which was overloaded and not well presented/divided. I would not recommend. Plus, i was surprised they were showing contemporary art instead of design/architecture
  • Excellent exhibit focused on the social aspects of housing and communities
