  • This place started to extract ore and coining silver coins from 1621 onwards. Shaft-155 meters and you can ride in a carriage along the entire length of the shaft at this depth within hours, with a need to bring warm clothes for this excursion. On the territory of the Museum there is a small souvenir shop, café, parking, antique shop and a small restaurant where you can dine. During the holidays arranged special excursions and the submission of the programme. The Museum is open daily.

  • Sala Silvermine is ideal when you travel to Dalarna's tourism destinations. Ideal stop along the way. Can really recommend this little detour. Great service and awesome place to visit. Take the hit rather than make a sad end to the gas station.

  • 155 meters below surface, 4 minute elevator ride down, in the middle of summer you can still see ice and snow in some tunnels. Our guide had allot of knowledge and allot of interesting facts to share. Worth every penny.
  • Cool experience deep under the ground (155m). It's a bit cold so make sure to bring warm clothes.
  • If you like mines your at the right place. Be sure to bring a jacket. Is close to the freezing point.
  • Impressive tour showing the hardships of what it was like to be a miner between 1500s and 1900s.
  • Excellent activity to do on a rainy day. We went on the tour of the 155 m level. A bit cold down there but lots to learn about how they used to mine silver here so long ago. It's a very extensive network of tunnels and lots to see. It seemed there was also a 60 m level to visit that is a shorter visit ( perhaps less pricey?)
