  • One of my absolute Favorites in Sweden. Incredibly beautifully preserved and knowledgeable guides. There is plenty to see at two different levels. Highly recommend!

  • I really enjoyed going down in the mines. The guides are really friendly and fun, and you will learn really interesting things. I would have liked more things about the life of the miners, the equipme...  more »
  • It is recommended to book your guided tour in advance then places on these seems to be filled up quickly in the high season. We went "the mountain master", which involved a two-hour long guided tour of the mine. The visit down the mine was very good and the environment is breathtaking, fun to learn more about the Swedish and Salas history. The Group was pretty large, so at times it was difficult to come back and see everything as the Guide talked about before we could move on. Our guide gave at times a strange impression. The Museum is very informative, wish I had been to the Museum before the tour then had the tour received an additional depth. Wizard sang for us down in the eco Chamber, and only it was worth the trip-magic! Had lunch at the Inn afterward, very tasty and well prepared. Very positive experience and I would definitely recommend a visit. Next summer, our youngest daughter filled four so we will again go on kids lucky enough!

  • A great mine experience. As some have mentioned, come well clothed since it usually is quite chilly inside. Defenitly worth visiting.
  • 155 meters below surface, 4 minute elevator ride down, in the middle of summer you can still see ice and snow in some tunnels. Our guide had allot of knowledge and allot of interesting facts to share. Worth every penny.
  • Excellent activity to do on a rainy day. We went on the tour of the 155 m level. A bit cold down there but lots to learn about how they used to mine silver here so long ago. It's a very extensive network of tunnels and lots to see. It seemed there was also a 60 m level to visit that is a shorter visit ( perhaps less pricey?)
  • Cool experience deep under the ground (155m). It's a bit cold so make sure to bring warm clothes.
