  • Booked guided tour. The castle is beautiful on the outside but on the inside, it was a disappointment! Aside from the paintings in one room and the floor in the arms room so there was nothing to see. The halls were empty and painted white! Even believe that you only get to see a quarter of the Castle. Would have been nice to get to see the decorated Hall or kitchen or bedroom. anything resembling a life at the Castle. The iaf was cheap entry and the guide was really great! She took everything in both Swedish and English and this is what she says that makes the visit worthwhile.

  • The town of Örebro is really picturesque, a perfect blend of history and modernity, important tourist center with accommodation facilities are nothing short of amazing. This castle is an example of transformation from ancient stronghold in beautiful residential building. Started building in 1200 had purely military purposes and defence. Since 1300 the fortifications suffered transformations in living spaces, the towers were added in 1500 to place cannons until 1600 when it was now clear that any attack could not resist techniques and weapons that had evolved. Architectural changes transformed the castle to the Swedish Kings and used for State ceremonies. Surrounded by a moat with bridges and gardens in the heart of the city you can enjoy just for a walk.

  • The number one thing to see is this beautiful old castle from the 12 century located in the very middle city center. The castle is surrounded by water. There are guided tours

  • Nice castle from outside, rather empty inside. Visiting only with huided tours in english and in swedish.
  • Very nice castle, you shouldn't miss this. Located in the middle of the city with fantastic views. It is a perfect stop on your stroll in the town
  • The castle looks great in the center of Örebro. It really is quite a picturesque place. However, it is not so great inside, and you can only get in with an excursion every hour.
  • So nice exterior and such a disappointing interior. Friendly and service minded guides
  • Beautiful atmospheric castle, located in the center of the beautiful city of O :-)
