Malmohus, Malmo

(3/5 based on 480+ reviews on the web)
As the oldest castle in Scandinavia, Malmohus stands as a beautiful red brick fortress and adjoins the castle built in the 1530s. An important stronghold of Denmark, this castle-turned-prison tells the story of its captives. For five years the castle imprisoned Mary, Queen of Scots' third husband, James Hepburn, 4th Earl of Bothwell. Today the castle is home to a museum of ancient art, modern photography, taxidermy, and prison cells for touring. Limited signage is provided in English. • A moderate excursion with children where the Museum offers both animals in the Aquarium, art, gadgets, snack or lunch, play and experiment on Technical steps away (same ticket). Cheap to go and much to see/do. Repeatedly appreciated by both children and adults. Personally I always think most on how the Museum used to house refugees after the end of World War II, and all what it means with the Parallels to today. The children would watch the frogs and maybe some stuffed animals or mounted butterflies, and then go to play on the playground, in the basement of the Technical! After an exciting visit inside the submarine, of course.

  • Think about to pay much for the semis so Wega good. Took a lunch on Saturday, and could then choose between alternatives. I took the meatballs and the friend took the goulash soup. My meatballs had the same texture as jelly and tasted nothing but maybe it was luck. The sauce had the same lack of taste. Gulaschsoppan was a suspect like Findus soup. Expect none of the food so you become satisfied staff
