Kungsparken, Malmo
(4.7/5 based on 460+ reviews on the web)
Stroll below a romantic canopy of trees at Kungsparken, a sprawling 19th-century park. The 8.4 hectare (21 acre) site was inhabited until the 1660s but then cleared to make way for the neighboring military protection. In 1869-1870 the park was built, complete with a cast-iron fountain at the center, plus expansive flower beds, playgrounds, and a windmill. The verdant paths are home to 120 different species of trees, as well as local wildlife. Pack a snack or a picnic blanket for a relaxing retreat. • The King's Park has long only "existed" for me without me actually taken a proper walk in it. When one day I did it "for real" as I realized that this park has not received the focus it deserves by locals! Pildammarna are usually in focus, but this park offered squiggly trails, beautiful flowers and fine aquatic environments. We are very spoiled with gorgeous parks in Sweden. We take it for granted, but when you are travelling abroad you will find that what we have at home regarding parks is something unique.

  • Beautiful and cosy, the King's Park/Park (stuck together), I think is the most beautiful park/parks in Malmö.

  • A wonderful park to enjoy some, with friends or family. Plenty of trees to enjoy the sight and loan to sit on. Of the weather is sunny, don't think twice, run there.
  • A nice park with cafés, exotic plants and restaurants.
  • Beautiful! Not enough benches away from the paths.
  • Great park J St off city center, worth definitely a visit
  • A nice big park. Great place for a leisurely stroll and to see the ducks swimming in the lake.
