Sprawling over 20 acres, Botanical Gardens showcases 7,000 colorful species of plants. Two hundred plants reside in greenhouses customized to nine different climate zones. The garden was built in 1690 on the site of Lund University, but was moved to its current location in 1862 after outgrowing its original spot. In 1974 the garden was named a national landmark, and today it continues its legacy as a teaching tool in botany, gardening, and ecology. During the summer and autumn the garden really comes alive and is full of vibrant colours. Make sure to visit the green house. Again there is no admission and it is open daily 11:00 to 15:00.
Full of interesting trees, plants and animals with plenty of information on what you're looking at. A good way to spend a few hours in this nice university town.
