Located in the studio and home of sculptor Carl Milles, Millesgården brings art and nature together. This art museum and sculpture garden provides an oasis for art lovers. Carl Milles and his wife (and fellow artist) Olga Milles acquired the property in 1906 and used it to showcase not just their own works but art from around the world. Tour their house and studio and view the couple's antiques. See international art exhibited alongside Milles' works, including his sculpture "God's Hand," which is on permanent display. Put Millesgården into our Lidingo trip generator and find out what's close by, where to stay, and where to head next.

This is a beautiful small museum well worth a visit! Within the exhibition hall they do have several different exhibitions during the year! What amazed me was the beautiful statues in the garden!

J'ai découvert ce sculpteur à l'occasion de ma visite. Les sculptures sont aériennes. Le musée et le jardin valent le détour. Les couleurs d'automne rendent le site encore plus onirique.I discovered this sculptor on the occasion of my visit. The sculptures are air. The Museum and garden are worth visiting. I love visiting artist's homes for not only do they contain their art works but they also showcase the artist's taste in furniture and architecture. Milles' home was so serene influenced by Italian villas, containing peaceful fountains that look out onto the Stockholm archipelago.
This is my new favourite favourite in Stockholm. Anyone who says the Vasa is the best museum in town hasn't ventured out here.
Very good place to spend an afternoon and relax. The place is big and have a beautiful garden where to stay!
