#3 of 67 in Parks in Stockholm County
Must see · Garden · Nature / Park
Located in the studio and home of sculptor Carl Milles, Millesgarden brings art and nature together. This art museum and sculpture garden provides an oasis for art lovers. Carl Milles and his wife (and fellow artist) Olga Milles acquired the property in 1906 and used it to showcase not just their own works but art from around the world. Tour their house and studio and view the couple's antiques. See international art exhibited alongside Milles' works, including his sculpture "God's Hand," which is on permanent display. • A wonderful find just outside of Stockholm, just a 15 minute car ride or a 25 minute train ride. The scuptural gardens are peaceful and provide a scenic water view. You could easily spend an afternoon walking around and enjoy "fika" at the cafe.
  • Spectacular experience! Entrance fee: 150Kr Adult and FREE for under 18 When you have paid each of you will get a "m" sticker which you can put on a piece of paper on the wall when you finish... You will see a gallery of artistic painting and when you walk outside you will experienced some great art sculptures. There is over 100 different sculptures! The museum includes lots of different photo opportunities so make sure you bring a camera! There is a restaurant at the far side of the park. There are many steps so some parts are not suitable for wheelchair users. Toilet: Free to use clean, unisex. Great experience and glad I went to see it!
  • Though a little bit tricky to get to it’s worth a visit if the exhibition is good.
  • Beautiful, but we went there on the hottest day of the year! Still wonderful.
