Hop on a ferry and visit the island of Ven, a haven of relaxation, historical monuments, and well-preserved nature. The island covers an area of 7.5 sq km (2.9 sq mi) and has a population of only a couple of hundred, living in three picturesque villages. Immerse yourself in the easy-going mood, and visit some of the sights that include a folklore museum, 13th-century church, and museum dedicated to the astronomer Tycho Brahe, who built two observatories on the island. There are a number of traditional restaurants, as well as a whisky distillery. The island has few cars, which makes it safe for walking and cycling. You can rent a bike on the island, but you can also hire a carriage or ride a horse.
