We wanted to take a break, but the sandwich would take 15-20 min because they had a larger "companion," well, we were probably worthless. Rude waitress. Smearing cake without icing. Disgruntled. Boring.

Beautiful place to visit but the lust wears off by the greed that permeates the site's various departments. The food at the restaurant is good, but they will take a over priced considering that salad and dessert, not even included in the present day. A plus to the waiter who, however, offered a plate of salad when I was astonished, asked one could take the salad with your meal, which only included a fried half tomato to the meat and potatismosen. Child portions are very small, suitable only for small children, a 7 year old can't possibly be measured at the Café with the store $5. take extra charge/children for the children to have fun at the playground that is inside the cafe, although buying coffee there. Mary's summerhouse is much like a regular flea market but unrealistic prices for simple things. Will not go to the site again.

The castle is beautifully situated with stunning views of the sea. It is possible to eat, snack and swim in the sea if you want. A guided tour of the castle was highly rated, it has an interesting history and to get an insight into contemporary upper-class life.

  • It was beautiful. We went on a Sunday, I wish we would have checked the oppen times for a Sunday. Everything was closed, but our intention was to take the dog for a walk and weren't that disappointed. Fabulous walk around the grounds. Will definitely come back for a tour and maybe for one of their famous tea afternoons!
  • I was at "barnens dag", an event for children and was therefore never inside the castle. The surroundings though was very beautiful, and as for the event it was quite good, lots of food, snack, playgrounds and rollercoasters but after a few hours it became too crowded.
  • Difficult to reach with public transport, but definitely worth it. Loved both the tour inside of the castle, as well as the gardens and the view over the ocean outside.
  • A beautiful place, with wonderful views, though it is a shame that a lot of it is covered and is currently under repair.
  • A piece of Blighty, on the Swedish West coast. Well worth a visit to explore the grounds or take a tour around the Tudor house. Until October '17 there's also a number of costumes from Downton Abbey exhibited around the house.
