This was my first visit at High Chaparral and compared with Astrid Lindgren's world, where I have been three times in the last few years. I like it better in Astrid Lindgren's world, they have higher quality of constructions and more lavish areas, better actor/shower as well as a higher level of service on dining etc in the Park. At the same time, the ELF a larger park with more resources – based on the niche they have High Chaparall is well made. Some areas are simple (such as indian village) while the Old Mexico is lavish/well built and feels authentic. We were there in the first place for children (son 9 years and daughter of 6 years). They were very fond of the Park, liked to play with newly bought rifles and pistols, see various environments and try on the year that was. We were there for two whole days. Thus we had time to do most: Rode the train was robbed/attack, went paddle steamer on little river, tested the Mom Dalltons line dancing-school (very appreciated by his daughter, who attended both days), tested the can-can, gone "Stagecoach"/carriage rides. The shows were generally good, especially the Wild West show that kids wanted to see twice. Inside the area, there was even a medium-sized pool with a water slide, nice to hang out there for an hour to get away from everything pang-pang. We slept a few nights in a room of the motel. It was nearby, simply decorated (but had the AC in the room), fairly hackneyed, pretty style toilets and shower in the corridor. The restaurants are pretty good, there was a little bit different to choose from. However, the restaurants inside the area lit eunderdimensionerade – when you have queued for a long time for soft serve ice cream, it is sad to hear that the ice cream machine is broken and you have to go to another kiosk further away. Interesting that there is a whole spectrum from families with children (that we) to visitors who go "all in" and are dressed authentically as the 1800 's.

This was my first visit at High Chaparral and compared (as it isn't a must) with Astrid Lindgren's world, that is the best I know. It did that first feeling was ' so-so '. When I saw how happy my was (8 years), I realized that the Park is for him and not for me. We rode the train and were robbed/assaulted. We were performed. We ate a good buffet. Was so clearly revolver, Holster and shoots. Our son and his cousin were overjoyed. The first day was great. Then we slept over in a cabin. The day after we ate breakfast on the Stagecoach. Then went my retired mother and my little sister out of the Park through a door from inside the Stagecoach. Exactly as it does on ELF (our reference point). The clock was then 9.35 ca and we were naturally only in the Park. When the clock was 9.57, a woman came out from Stagecoach and questioned what we did in the Park and we certainly were force to pay for us?!?! UH?!?! 2-day pass was how paid. We had indeed gone out through a door that didn't get opened and there was indeed someone who had seen us do this mischief. The three adult women became total utskällda before our children! We would certainly go out again and then go through the purchase checkout ... We obeyed. We are not evil people. An option to purchase the Treasury was about 200 M long. Day 2 started snörpligt. I got in touch with a staff via email. She wrote that it was bad info on ' how ' to do after breakfast. No information at all and no ' stop ' on the door that could not be opened. We should be able to clarify the rules without the? How isåfall? According to the email, you would also get in touch with angry woman who accused us and more or less made it clear that we ' sneaking ' into the park without having done the right thing for us. If that is done, I have no idea ... My happy mood vanished. Fortunately, Dalton Brothers robbed the store where I stood and we came right into an adventure. It was great fun and we laughed. However, we drove home to act soon to our mood was a bit so-so for ' all '.

  • One of my favourite theme parks ever! The place is just stunning, the old Far West buildings are absolutely well made and they have outstanding live performances (in Swedish tho). I have to visit every year... This year I will buy the season pass....
  • Pretty bad experience. We payed for the whole day but had only 2 hours left. Too expensive and not worth any kronor. You shouldn't go there!
  • Not worth any penny! You have to pay a lot of money for the entrance and there's nothing included. You have to pay extra for every little thing. Don't go there!
  • Fantastic Park for the kids to live out their cowboy dreams. Great for adults living out their dreams too from the looks of it. Lots of fun activities for the kids, but the playground city seems to be the funnier choice for the kids. Shows are fairly good and the train ride wad great fun. Upon exit I was separated from two of my kids and it proved very hard to get back inside to get them. None of the employees outside the gate could or would help me. I had to find my own way inside. I can't imagine this being the first time so this should be routine. Food is overpriced and really not that good, but the Mexican food was good. The leather holsters that we bought two years ago are still good and survived this season too even though the pistols did not. Anyways, we spent two days and enjoyed every minute. Lots of great people make this possible. Will be back next year.
  • A really nice place to visit to bring back the kid again. Lots of cowboys and Indians. You can also se several shows that take you back in cowboy time. Free tip. If you have any cowboy clothing. ... Take it with you.
