Explore historical Swedish defense vessels, submarines, and wreckage at Marine Museum Karlskrona, located on the waterfront at the World Heritage-listed naval port of Karlskrona. This family-friendly naval museum began in 1752 as a collection of vessel models depicting 18th-century engineering, ideology, and naval strategy. Tour a real submarine, visit the figurehead hall, and try your hand at the ship simulator and sailor's workshop. Moored along the pier outside the museum are several museum ships to discover, including the Minesweeper Bremön warship and HMS Västervik. An underwater tunnel lets visitors view the 18th-century shipwreck that lies beneath the museum. Top off your visit with a stop at the highly rated restaurant.
