Where to stay in Helsingborg

Unlike many Swedish cities, this harborfront town offers abundant bed and breakfasts and guesthouses. In this pedestrian-dominated city, most travelers prefer to be closer to the city core for convenience and access to the long paths along the shore. A number of reasonably priced, mid-market hotels line the main street. There are also a couple hostels. Note that it is customary to pay an extra charge for linens and towels at Swedish hostels.

  • We caught the ferry across from Denmark to Sweden and had a wonderful time exploring the old tower and learning a bit about the history. A couple of good hours spent on a summers day.
  • I absolutely loved going here when I visited my brother in Denmark. Such a beautiful place to walk around and sight see. I recommend the Chinatown Chinese food down the street and the Green tea ice cream a block away!
  • Nice place for overview the city.
  • A great place to visit, especially on a day with clear sight.
  • Wonderful building, gardens and fantastic view over the town.
