  • Are you interested in history and some odd places so it is worth making a visit to the Tykarpsgrottan a tour of 45 minutes with a guide who speaks both Swedish and English. Try to get the children to become interested in making that the adults don't get equal mkt info. Tips is that after the tour, go up to the small cottage for more history and facts. Don't forget that a sweater is great to take with you when it is 8 degrees in the cave

  • It used to be a chalk mine where the bats hibernate in the winter. We wanted to see bats but the bats moved out into the woods in the summer for insects and in the winter they sleep in the part of the...  more »
  • 120.- for 1 adult. Good guide. Just follow the signs dont use your gps. Nice place.
  • Extremely nice and quiet campsite. Friendly staff and good prices. The service buildings are kept very clean although the shower costs SEK5 it is acceptable because of how well maintained it is. The onsite 'cave' is well worth a visit as well.
  • Twelve metres under the Earth have peasant farmhands and maids broken limestone during the century. With hammers, wedges and hacks broken limestone blocks and was carried out by hand to the waiting oxspannen. Mining in the Tykarpsgrottan cave complex began in the 1700 's and ceased in 1888. Even today runs rich in Ignaberga limestone quarry. Left of the underworld is a mysterious world of a 10 000 m ² big maze of aisles and pillared halls a world totally created by human hands for centuries. Hit down among the mighty pillar halls sought Tage Danielsson with video team where they found a sufficiently mysterious hideaway for Ronia the robber's daughter. This is also where scenes from the Hill, the man and the tv show Snapphanar is filmed. The winter months are mine also sovkammare for several species of bats. Here, they seek to escape the cold and the noise from the world above.

  • Not very interesting place to visit. Poorly lighted cave, the tour was vacuous. Poorly maintained exhibition outside the cave with unreadable signs accommodation Could have been made a lot better but now feels the most like a tourist trap with thin content.
