  • Really nice and cold but not for the schizophrenic! Equipped with flashlights, we joined a guided tour. Preferably on a return visit!

  • Nice and instructive, the guided tour (mandatory) was most focused on younger children rather than teens or adults. We appreciated our visit. Note that you can not visit the cave on his own, only in groups on a tour, so it pays to time of arrival well.

  • A trip to the underworld with a wife and children. Nice guide who showed us around the mine and talked about the business. Last minute it was fossil-hunting among lime-stone gravel. The children found the pieces of Octopus, shark teeth and other exciting finds. A nice experience that children love to do.

  • 120.- for 1 adult. Good guide. Just follow the signs dont use your gps. Nice place.
  • Extremely nice and quiet campsite. Friendly staff and good prices. The service buildings are kept very clean although the shower costs SEK5 it is acceptable because of how well maintained it is. The onsite 'cave' is well worth a visit as well.
  • Good place
  • Is not very happy with this place ... Expensive entrance fee and a "quick tour" through the mine with a too large group. The guide was also not especially interesting to listen to. No images were shown on how the mine was in operation, and no examples of the tools that were used were shown ... The store's selection has a lot of krims krams for expensive money-a real "tourist trap"! There is certainly room for improvement ... Positive, however, that there is a cafe and toilets on site:/

  • Twelve metres under the Earth have peasant farmhands and maids broken limestone during the century. With hammers, wedges and hacks broken limestone blocks and was carried out by hand to the waiting oxspannen. Mining in the Tykarpsgrottan cave complex began in the 1700 's and ceased in 1888. Even today runs rich in Ignaberga limestone quarry. Left of the underworld is a mysterious world of a 10 000 m ² big maze of aisles and pillared halls a world totally created by human hands for centuries. Hit down among the mighty pillar halls sought Tage Danielsson with video team where they found a sufficiently mysterious hideaway for Ronia the robber's daughter. This is also where scenes from the Hill, the man and the tv show Snapphanar is filmed. The winter months are mine also sovkammare for several species of bats. Here, they seek to escape the cold and the noise from the world above.
