  • A few miles north of Härnösand is this large coastal defensive fortress which is the only preserved in Sweden. The tour was great and we got a good insight into what the cold war was in the form of fortifications and soldier life down there in the rock. It was no problem to get around with the stroller. We finished the trip with lunch in the restaurant with a stunning view of the sea.

  • We were 6 acquaintances who went to study plants at Hemsö. It was incredibly successful. We stayed two nights in the mountain, in one of the plants. The wizard took care of us very well throughout the stay and we really got to see everything, and then some. This is a very good destination for those interested in history is military. I can also imagine that a family with children would experience it as an exciting outing.

  • Exciting to lose this fortress from the cold war. Huge facility. Fortunately, it never had to be used in real-life situation.

  • Good food decent price very interesting place from the Cold War lunacy!!!
  • Great views, very interesting guided tour, a great place to visit with the whole family. Really nice and cheap lunch served after the tour ends.
  • Absolutely indispensable for the militarily interested. Glad to see so much untouched merchandise.

  • Wonderful place. The guide was liberally educated. 1 hour and 20 minutes of Swedish military history. It seems literally as "the boys" have gone home Friday and never come back, all old furniture are still there ... untouched since 1989.
