  • Very nice Museum with themed rooms and many Volvo models from early examples to more modern ones. Of suitable size, requires at least an hour and a half to be seen well. Admission included in the Gothenburg card. Recommend to visit Monday through Friday as the weekend the bus at the Museum runs only on reservation and often on the telephone number of the transport company nobody answers. For the return, due to the call center of bus not accessible, we were taken by car (clearly a volvo) to the nearest bus stop toward the Center from a very nice girl. You can also take a walk of about 3 km to the bus stop Sorredsvagen. Worth a visit despite its location away from the Centre.

  • Although I'm not a car addict, I really liked this place. There is a lot to see for Volvo lovers and for the other tourist who likes a journey back in time. BUT: in July 2017 the place was extremely h...  more »
  • We came over for VROM 2017 and visited the museum twice during our stay in Gothenburg. Plenty to see, with cars on display from the first Volvo production, 90 years ago. Really well displayed. Trucks,...  more »

  • The museum has the history of Volvo group right from 1927 with the vehicles preserved carefully. A totally fantastic collection of Volvo's, old and new, big and small. All incredibly well maintained and restored, and the information provided about each vehicle is so extensive, I'd recommend setting aside a decent period of time for your visit!
  • Volvo Museum. A nice place to visit with friends and family. Old and traditional cars are available in Museum.
  • Very friendly staff. Went through the complete history of Volvo. Amazing stuff!!! I was in awe to see so many conceptual car models which never made it to market. A must visit place.
  • It wasn't really big despite the fact that it was very comfortable and welcoming. It was mostly a timeline of Volvo cars, trucks and other vehicles so you shouldn't expect a lot of concept cars(although they do have a few). The gift shop was wonderful as the goods were very high quality and variety.
  • Excellent collection of different Volvo cars since the company's inception. It gives a nostalgic feeling to many who followed Volvo cars since their childhood and ownes one. There are also volvo trukcs and volvo aircraft engines for display. Young children can have quality time knowing the evolution of cars and their parts. Wi-Fi is available for visitors.
