Slottsskogen, Gothenburg

4.5
In addition to parkland, Slottsskogen offers sites such as a zoo and Swedish heritage area. The park was founded in 1876, during the development of the 17th-century city of Gothenburg. The popular zoo features native animals, and the historical zone is full of small Swedish cottages typical of different regions. Take in the natural surroundings at this 137 hectare (339 acre) park by exploring open spaces or hiking one of its many trails. Stroll through the English-inspired landscaping or play a game at one of the park's many sports fields. • This place is like an oasis in Gothenburg. It has a lot to offer. Playground for the little kids are penalised, and large green areas for various activities. A good selection of restaurants, cafes, kiosks, o. May be short on parking spaces for events and good weather.

  • Since Älfsborgsmarschen goes through the park facility, one has been given plenty of time to observe the facilities and this is recommended everyone to visit. One is lucky can one see Otter play in the pool, too.

  • Sweden's most beautiful city park! Here you will find peace and quiet, but also entertainment on the scenic way. Large surfaces all relax, with sites for private moments with the packed picnic or barbecue. A go ' coffee (coffee) in one of the cafes are another obvious pleasure during the day or lunch in the restaurant. Discover the animals, birds, flowers and other like minded people at the walk around the Park. Collect a bunch of plays or motion, it's up to you what you want to do in this scenic spot in the city of Gothenburg.

  • Beautiful park and especially the zoo. It’s actually not so much a zoo I would say more like a reservoir for animals. A great place to spend a Saturday or Sunday at and just get some fresh air.
  • A very nice park with ponds, animal pens(including a moose pen), a kid's zoo (with Pony riding), cafeterias and restaurants. There is an adventure mini golf course and a disc golf course in the park as well. There are public restrooms close to some popular spots and in the cafeterias and restaurants. In one end of the park there is a large playground called Plikta, and close by you can find the museum of natural history, where you can see a stuffed blue whale.
  • Beautiful, well kept and popular park. I'd highly recommend following the smaller paths as they whind through the trees, they can offer real solitude even in the middle of the city.
  • Very nice and big park. Plenty of spaces to hang out with friends, play some games, and have a barbecue. There's also a large playground for kids and a zoo, which is for free. Among other animals, it has moose and penguins.
  • Huge park with own Zoo, open for free. Place of weekend timespending with family or friends. Or even participate in some activities here.
