Created in 1923 for the city's 300th anniversary, the museum is a monument in and of itself, having been built in the neoclassical style of Nordic architecture by architect Sigrid Ericson.   • Have visited the Gothenburg museum of art many times and am always impressed and become swallowed up by all the amazing pictures ... ... ... When I have guests, I propose that we always go there........ you can choose a title/epoch of interest, or just start at the top and walk around every floor ... ...-then it will be a full day! A grander beginning (or ending), on kungsportsavenyn, or, as we say, it is hard to imagine!
