It is a museum with a fairly comprehensive collection, from Byzantine icons to contemporary art, with works from Rembrandt to Picasso. Interesting to visit it, but in my opinion the lighting in the rooms is very badly raised

Scopes quite a few time periods and it is obviously put much care into composing the lighting and display. The tops floors has works from world known artists. PS. Closed on Mondays.  more »

Göteborgs Kunstmuseum is a leader in Nordic art, here you will find many masterpieces of above artist. The collection includes works from five centuries and is complemented by temporary exhibitions in painting & sculpture. Also here, a Hasselblad photo art exhibition, which however can be ignored. To be a must here have been for every art lover. You here still close to these celebrities, really a great feast for the eyes!

  • Good varied collection of art. Some modern some old, painting and sculpture all housed in a really nice building. I found the layout made it hard to be sure I hadn't missed anything but that might just be me.
  • It's free for under 25, at least for now. It's really worthy spending one hour there, maybe two, to see everything. Saying that they have a strange sense of order and you can find Greek stuff mix with everything and things like that.
  • Did I like it? Very much!! So many great paintings! I have to go back some day! Would I recommend it? Of course! What did i cost? 40sek. Unless you already have the "Årskortet", then it's free. (Special exhibitions are extra) Suitable for everyone? Yes I think so but are many steps to every floor but I think there is elevator available to every floor as well. How was the service? Good!
  • Sad🙁 cameras are not allowed. But it was really nice inside I should have been allowed to take some photos!
  • One of Gothenburgs nicer museums with great restaurant and bars nearby.
