Norrvikens Tradgardar, Bastad

(4.6/5 based on 40+ reviews on the web)
Norrviken Gardens is a garden, located about 3 kilometers northwest of Båstad, Skåne County, Sweden. It was founded by Rudolf Abelin in the early 1900s. The garden was chosen as the most beautiful park in Sweden and the second most beautiful in Europe in 2006. Due to financial issues the park has begun to fall into decline. Different interest groups are doing efforts to come up with new ways to fund the park, but disagreements between the groups have hampered the development of the park. One major problem is the location which decreases the use of the park as a venue for commercial interests.

  • The garden at Norrviken is a place where you gain energy. It is hard to describe, you just have to feel it. The founder Rudolf Abelin had a special gift to create such a place.
  • A seafood soup that was outstanding! What good! To this we listened to Laila Adele. Fantastic and talented chefs. Something that should be experienced.

  • Fantastic evening where we got to cook with support by knowledgeable staff. The environment was being taken out of a Disney movie with theme the winter prom!
