  • Skistar Åre is really amazing! Lots of great ski slopes there are slopes for all, green hills (very easy), blue (intermediate), Red Hill (difficult) and black Hill (very difficult). There are also parks with jumps, rails and other things for the more daring riders. But there are also children's areas with green hills and hoops/button lifts. The largest children's areas are located in Rödkullen and the bear. Kid's best friend Valle the snowman is often there, to greet the children and dance with them to Valles hits. Ski school are, for beginners and more advanced skiers. Lifts are there in abundance, button lifts, Nutcracker rope tows, Chair, gondola and even gondola. The slopes are moderately long, the longest is more than 6 kilometers (Long turn, blue route), there are also 100 meters of slopes for children. But most of the slopes are around 3-5 kilometers, a proper length. Some slopes I can recommend is Ullåhöa (blue), Gästrappet (red), Red rappet (red), Arctic gaze (red) and Högåsbacken (red). These are particularly lovely hills, which is long and is suitable for most people. Please note that there can be a lot of people in Gästrappet, Högåsbacken and Red Rappet, but in the other slopes it is usually a little people. Are you in Åre and highzone is open, you just have to take you there, with either a gondola lift or Gondola. From the top of Åreskutan is the magnificent views and lovely slopes to speeding down from the downhill race (black) to the Long Trail (blue). Would you spend a full day in the highzone, you can enjoy such as Tusenmetern and Solravinen, and all the wonderful slopes that are in between. Lift the staff is friendly and usually helps to get the anchor in place and help you, if you have any questions. Sometimes there can be long queues at the lifts (especially VM8: an, Saddle expressen and vm6.an) (about a 10 minute queue), and it can get crowded, but be patient, and you'll soon with a lift up to the top. On the slopes there are many nice restaurants and cafes, some I can recommend is Ullådalsstugan and 720 Food Station. Please note that there around lunch time can be a lot of people at the restaurants, so eat a proper breakfast and be prepared to stand in a long queue and be very difficult to sit on the floor. When I ate lunch on the saucepan, I got to sit on the floor and eat. You have the opportunity, you can always take a packed lunch from the hotel and eat in the side of the Hill. It usually does not, however, be much people on Ullådalsstugan, for it is a bit apart. In addition to the slopes (mainly transport distances, t, as Long the turn lågzon), there are often small forest trails, which goes next to the Hill in the Woods. These are fun and can be quite steep and scary, but most are not so long and steep, but very funny. But do not run into a tree! Don't forget your helmet, even the best skiers can fall and hurt themselves. Åre is a fantastic ski resort, which I really recommend!

  • The staff managed to conjure up bikes for us when every bike in the village seemed to be leased. Dedicated and friendly staff!

  • Called today to check out the used bike I would buy was finished today Friday. But there had been a misunderstanding so it does not become clear until Sunday. That location, I was prepared for the locals to hear the classic bortförklaringarna and that there would be no cycling for me this weekend. But was pleasantly surprised when Nicklas in a happy, positive and assertive tone in his voice says. Ooops-I've probably missed this. Of course, you borrow a bike over the weekend so you can cycle as planned. Your new bike will get you on Sunday! I replied that I have to leave early on Sunday before they opened. Nicklas responds then equally sleek and carry:-When we are trying to get your bike ready on Saturday and if we are not there and we'll send your new bike home in Stockholm. For me, this is the customer service in world-class!
