Visit the largest wooden structure in the Western Hemisphere at Saint Peter and Paul Basilica, recently upgraded to the status of a basilica. Built in 1885 and restored in 2010, the imposing wooden building features a peaceful interior, made completely of Surinamese cedar wood. Inside, you can view the grave of missionary priest Peter Donders, three different-sized bells in the tower, and intricate decorations and designs in the woodwork.   • Like no other Church has this church a special atmosphere by the warmth of the wood. A real winner. Please note the dress requirement, you will be stopped if you are "too exposed" inside will.
