(3.9/5 based on 75+ reviews on the web)
Explore the jungle just minutes from the city at Peperpot Nature Park. The nature trail winds through dense tropical forest and welcomes walkers and bike riders along its approximately 3 km (1.86 mi) length. • Marvellous place with a great diversity of plants and animals. From the main entrance you can also take your bike in order to drive through the area, at the very end (ca 3, 5 km) left, turn left to go to the greenery and the plantation houses. Take a guide to the special iguanas (monitor lizards species), anaconda, monkey and the various bird watching. From Cycling in Suriname (next to so and so) are bicycle trips organised. These are excellent with 60 € per person (minimum 3 pax)

  • Good that the dilapidated plantation and history shows. However, it should happen quite a bit to make it a nice destination. So a herbs and spices garden, and a playground for the little ones a good addition.

  • Started at nature park Centre, nice new set up, partly not quite ready but already looks good, nice exposition of WWF and explanation about the plantation. Jungle path done, is approximately 3 km long, same path back again. Skull monkeys and howler monkeys come across and large lizards, beautiful birds, here and there is explanation, via signs good and nicely done. End path we had to hide from a monsoon because if it's going to rain in Su then it rains. Back ride Express. After a visit to the plantation, ask at the Center no matter how you have to drive, it's definitely a few km away but worth it. Buildings are still there, along the Suriname River, really beautiful, road up to it is bad but to do, got it done with normal passenger car while it had drawn. Just do it. Have fun
