Peperpot Nature Park, Paramaribo

(4/5 based on 85+ reviews on the web)
Explore the jungle just minutes from the city at Peperpot Nature Park. The nature trail winds through dense tropical forest and welcomes walkers and bike riders along its approximately 3 km (1.86 mi) length. Watch for inhabitants like monkeys, sloths, butterflies, lizards, and many species of birds. Informational signage lines the trail, informing visitors about the many different types of jungle flora and fauna that can be found. Come prepared with bug spray, as the tropical climate also supports a plethora of mosquitos. Put Peperpot Nature Park and other Paramaribo attractions into our Paramaribo tourist route planner, and watch your holiday take shape.

  • Worth knowing. But it's good to make sure of the hours that is open, not to miss trip.

  • The natural park has a brand new visitor centre, with good toilet and a large scale model of the old plantation. Via natuurtrail you can go to the plantation a 3.2 km cycling after you have paid the entrance fees (SRD 20 pp). You can, however, also via the public come away without entrance. With rain again the natural park is not really an attraction. The plantation Peperpot is actually a separate entry, because it is not part of the natural park. Currently there is a museum to Setup, but not yet open. You can not in the old homes or factory.

  • Today for the third time, and dozens of monkeys. Skull monkeys and a black kind. Also many ' sapakaras ' can watching. The best you can just take a stroll. Then you will see the most.
