Explore the jungle just minutes from the city at Peperpot Nature Park. The nature trail winds through dense tropical forest and welcomes walkers and bike riders along its approximately 3 km (1.86 mi) length. • We wanted to get through walking with a guide but there was no one at the entrance. Tip; book in advance a guide. We are there with the bicycle through it. Was almost 4 km in the middle of the day. Monkeys, birds and lizards seen

  • Here is very good to see how a plantation there long ago looked like. A nice trip to there by bike to do from the Centre of Paramaribo.

  • Beautiful nature and so tranquil. Admission fee is 20 local dollars. Be aware that hiking trail is a few kilometers.
  • I forgot to take pictures of the trail. Was enjoying it. It is worth it if you like nature. The pictures are of the old model houses.
  • A historical place to see the earlier worked on the plantation was. That will certainly be the intention of this location, but the effect is downright bad. The information centre is in base nicely set up, but fairly limited in the amount of information (only some information signs with photos) The oorsprongekelijke plantations are completely overgrown and not back to spot as plantations. Only the houses and the plantation owners are beautifully renovated, only are these unfortunately not open to the public. Because the natural surroundings is wonderful I give two stars, but actually is but one star.

  • We had not too understood the interest to this park... A huge straight line drawn through the forest of almost 3 km... We have found no interest!

  • Special experience to walk a trail-with the realization that slaves did this earlier every day, without the comfort of shoes or water close at hand. Make sure to bring walking shoes, if you visit-a route on slippers peperpot is something less practical. Little explanation, to you to historical elements to find out and your imagination on the smoking. Entrance ticket to buy on arrival at the park: 10 SRD.
