3/5 based on 110+ reviews on the web
The only zoo in Suriname, Paramaribo Zoo has survived for 40 years to finally see an increase in visitors over the past decade or so. You'll have a chance to observe a variety of animals in captivity, including several monkeys, caimans, jaguars, red ibis, king vultures, boa constrictors, and anacondas. Pack your own supplies of snacks and drinks, as no kiosks or shops operate on site. Consider renting a bicycle for your trip to the zoo, which isn't far from downtown Paramaribo. • Here you should also certainly have been if you love animals. I find the Zoo more enjoyable than in Netherlands, reason: you'll also see monkeys outside the cages.

  • Not a bad zoo....fair collection of tropical animal species inclusive of jaguars and ostriches....snow cone vendor provides many flavors of crushed ice.
  • After the reviews here decided to visit the zoo. Unfortunately we found it a bit disappointing ... Everything is old, the rooms are small and the offer of animals is moderate. In addition, there was little to eat and drink, something we were looking for after a long walk ...

  • If you want to see wildlife thisbis the place to be . It has been updated . It's fun to bring your children and fun for adults. There is for sure some.hours of fun there.
  • Heel mooi geworden
  • A tiny zoo but it's fun
  • Sympathetic zoo. They can use some more visitors and a donation. Some of their animals were stolen - sad
  • You can get really close to animals, but need some serious investments.
