Mopion, St. Vincent

(4.8/5 based on 40 reviews on the web)
Sail or snorkel your way to the serene cay of Mopion, a 30 m (99 ft) long deserted island. Stretch out on the white sand or under the thatched palm hut--the only escape from the sun. The scenic and isolated position of the isle provides you a 360-degree view of the clean turquoise water. Spend your time exploring the coral reef and its abundant fish diversity. Due to the rocky shore, anchor your boat nearby and swim the rest of the way. Bring water and food since there are no nearby facilities. • We passed near this tiny atoll, which looks almost like a mirage, in our sailing trip in the Grenadines, moving between Petit St. Vincent, Union Island. Water, even if we are down to Earth, has the wonderful colors that they used the Grenadines.

  • It is a romantic and tiny atoll near Petit St. Vincent, a few square meters of white sand with a single umbrella of wood and straw planted on the sidelines. The surrounding water, thanks to the reef, is almost surreal: blue, green, transparent and above all warm. I recommend going early; If you're lucky enough to get there first and above all to be the only visitors, the effect is priceless, for a maximum of half an hour before Park still venture out to explore the nearby islands.

  • Little piece of sand in the middle of the ocean, with just a little umbrella to protect themselves from the Sun. It is a dream for a few hours. The funds are beautiful and if you're lucky, pelicans will come even fish at the edge of the island.
