Pinel Island, Saint-Martin
(4.2/5 based on 1,800+ reviews on the web)
Take a boat ride out to the soft sands of Pinel Island, and enjoy a sheltered beach with calm waters, lethargic iguanas basking in the sun, and lovely hiking trails circumnavigating the island. There’s great snorkeling to be had in the sandy-bottomed bay, and cold beverages to be enjoyed at the beach huts, which also serve food and sell basic beach supplies. Consider arriving early, as the beach will likely get busy. It’s worth bringing your own shade in the event that the beach's loungers and umbrellas are all taken. Choose to start, finish, or center your holiday on a trip to Pinel Island by using our Saint-Martin vacation planner.

  • No more because we have done by high wind, blow, snorkeling impossible... and to avoid in high season!

  • Calm water, great food at the chairs the furthest from the ferry drop off. Ferries carry about 30 people and is one of the draw backs to visiting. $12 a head for round trip
