Must see · Beach · Nature / Park
Spend time alongside endless turquoise waters at Le Galion Beach. With a coral reef offshore, the clear waters remain calm, shallow, and good for swimming. Experience the water through snorkeling, kayaking, or paddleboating. You can also surf, kite-board, and windsurf along the beach. Swim out to the diving platform and perhaps spot a fish swimming nearby. Rent an umbrella and chairs and relax on the soft white sand or take a meal at one of the restaurants nearby. • It's not the same...but we went to visit and oh how I've missed my beach. No more lunch spot with bathroom, but the beach is still there and the water is still amazingly beautiful. The beach is in.....  more »

  • Beautiful view and very quiet peaceful area. The water was not rough at all so the kids were able to enjoy a good deal of time in the water. As you go deeper, there were a lot of reeds and the sand in the water is goopy... when you step in certain places a bit of a smell gets unearthed that is not very pleasant.
  • The food is out of this world. I expected the food to be just like any other beach bar/grill but i was pleasantly surprised. Everything is made fresh. The staff is very friendly. Must try the shrimp salad or daily specials. When you rent the beach chairs and umbrellas ($15) make sure you ask to open a tab and you will be refunded the money if you eat food there. The beer is always cold and prices are very reasonable. The beach is very calm and shallow. It is very kid friendly. We rented a car and tried almost all the major beaches of the island but always ended up using the galion beach. Also there are some people just before you arrive at the beach that will try to sell you timeshares. Ignore them when they wave you down.
  • Had a great time. Ignore the people at the entrance attempting to sell you something. It's a public beach and you don't have to stop or roll your window down to talk to them.
  • Nice Beach. Warm and calm waters that are enjoyable. Great place to swim with kids. There is also soort of bridge or other that you can go and jump off of kids can even do it. Lots of locals at the beach there so that made the experience even more agreeable.....
  • Much has been destroyed by the hurricane, but the surf club is up and running again in a beautiful natural beach amongst the frigate birds.
