#2 of 54 in Parks in St. Lucia
Explore Pigeon Island National Park to discover an area rich in history and natural beauty. This island was artificially connected to the mainland in the 1970s and has since become a landmark of St. Lucia. Rich in history and occupied by Amerindians, pirates, and the British over the centuries, the island still houses numerous remains of forts, barracks, and other military buildings. Climb to the highest points within the park for panoramic views, look for scenic spots for a picnic, or use one of two sandy beaches to swim, snorkel, and lounge on the tranquil waterfront. We went there by boat taxi and return the taxi boat went to sides of the sandals resort. When you arrive with the boat, the latter you removal on a pontoon and to the right of the dock there is a beautiful beach that has natural shade with trees and towards the inside of the park there are tables and wooden benches. possibility of snorkeling at the level of the rocks (saw fishes, lobsters, sea urchins, etc...) otherwise must be mounted at the top of the Summit, at the old fort for a magnificent view on the 2 pegs and Martinique. really a beautiful day

Worth the climbing. You will be out of breathe when you reach the top, but you will enjoy the views. If I did that climb 1-3 times a week, I would be in excellent physical shape. FYI: the Carib Cave is closed due to it being completely destroyed by the tide. There is no need to walk past the fence blocking the trail, there is nothing worth seeing.

Great park with some awesome views. Decent beaches with bathrooms and showers. $8 US to enter park.

A very long drive from Soufriere over some very mountainous terrain. No doubt the drive influenced the rating. Nevertheless, it's a small park and is interesting from a historical point. The restaurant was excellent. The walk to Fort Rodney was to long for us so we opted out but other party members said the views were panoramic. If your accommodations are up north you should definitely visit.
