Explore Pigeon Island National Park to discover an area rich in history and natural beauty. This island was artificially connected to the mainland in the 1970s and has since become a landmark of St. Lucia. Rich in history and occupied by Amerindians, pirates, and the British over the centuries, the island still houses numerous remains of forts, barracks, and other military buildings. Climb to the highest points within the park for panoramic views, look for scenic spots for a picnic, or use one of two sandy beaches to swim, snorkel, and lounge on the tranquil waterfront. • The visit to pigeon island was a good way to learn the history of the park as well as a nice spot for a picnic and snorkelling. We have two girls 8 & 10 and they are not keen on snorkelling. The beach...  more »

  • The bus heads this way. Take the local transit. Beautiful area to walk. There is a lovely coffee shop but it is nice to pack a lunch. There is a beautiful swimming area on the one side of the park, so many tiny fishes and clear water. You can take a water taxi back into town but costs around 20-30$USD each.
  • A place of great historical significance to the island of St. Lucia. There are two restaurants (both with their own unique style), two small beaches and a couple of short hiking trails with spectacular views of Gros Islet and the neighboring Island of Martinique (on clear days). I've always enjoyed visiting Pigeon Island.
  • It was for me, the first time I was bathing in the sea. It's still a very nice trip for me. We rented a scouter and we walked around the city. Very mountainous, the view is wonderful. What we did not appreciate was being offered drugs on every street corner.
  • Great scenic and historic place to visit. The battle between the France and England was fought here multiple times, to see who would claim this beautiful island called Saint Lucia. I would encourage everyone to visit there. Lovely beach for casual bathing and snorkeling.
  • Quiet little beach with some shade. Nice restaurant. Stunning views from the old fort and the signal hill. Went back twice.
