Romney Manor, Basseterre
(4.2/5 based on 600+ reviews on the web)
Step into a historical tropical paradise at Romney Manor, a 17th century sugar plantation with lush, rainforest-like gardens overlooking the ocean. Once owned by the great-great grandfather of Sir Thomas Jefferson, the estate now attracts visitors with its colorful, biodiverse, tropical gardens. You can also witness vibrant tye-die fabrics being created at Caribelle Batik, the onsite shop. Don't miss the giant 370-year-old African Saman tree and the black stones with Amerindian carvings.
