Shell Beach, Gustavia

Categories: Beaches, Nature & Parks, Outdoor Activities
Inspirock Rating:
4.2/5 based on 460+ reviews on the web
In close proximity to the harbor, Shell Beach distinguishes itself with millions of seashells that cover its sand. Overlooked by an old fort, the small lagoon offers a nice spot for swimming, relaxing, and, of course, collecting colorful shells and seaglass. Hang out and have a tasty meal at the popular bar and restaurant on site; sunbathe; or try snorkeling in the crystal clear water. Don't forget to bring sandals or flip-flops, as the shells can be uncomfortable to walk on. • If you do a Tagesausfludg to St. Barth, this beach is sure ideally located, because at the end of the city and walking distance. Has many small shells on the beach. But there are certainly better beaches on St. Barth.

  • This is the only beach within walking distance to the ferry dock and what a gem it is. We came in the off season so all amenities were closed but it was well worth the visit.
  • Took a day trip to St. Barts and found this breathtaking beach and location. Just a beautiful, small beach, with pristine sand covered by shells. This is truly a treasure to be seen.
