Anse du Gouverneur, St. Barthelemy

(4.8/5 based on 220+ reviews on the web)
A quiet, unspoiled beach, Anse du Gouverneur nestles itself among the hills, with white sand and crystal blue waters. Due to the secluded nature of the beach, it serves as a popular spot for nude sunbathing. Relax on the sand or snorkel around the rocks, with rolling hills covered in green flora providing a scenic backdrop. Remember to bring your own food and drinks, as no restaurants or services operate in the area. The road from Gustavia offers spectacular views, and legend has it that pirates' once buried treasure at the beach. Put Anse du Gouverneur and other St. Barthelemy attractions into our St. Barthelemy holiday planner, and watch your holiday take shape.

  • Good beach spot, decent amount of parking and a wide beach to accommodate a lot of people. Reasonably quick jaunt from St Jean.

  • I would call this beach is the best in the world, but I didn't have enough natural shade. Great smooth entry into the water. Beach no longer quite wild, you can take the sun loungers and parasols. But the waves! They are correct! Here they are calm, but strong and confident you shake. This is the best possible waves. This is a pretty big Bay, on the slope of a dozen beautiful villas, one of which is owned by Abramovich. I got a huge kick out of swimming!
