  • We let us go from the tuk-tuk drivers by unawatuna out and spent a whole day there! We enjoyed the peace and quiet and the Menschenleere...insgesamt went over 5 people on this day to us! It was heavenly. You can not everywhere and must beware, where signs are placed. We found a beautiful section with great waves. Were there shooting videos and scored brilliant photos. Unawatuna beach can compare with it.

  • After the Unawatuna Beach Mihiripenna Beach looks nice, but it seems like a small, uncomfortable and dangerous for swimming (undercurrents).

  • Nice beach is protected by a reef. The beach is not very long but has the advantage that it is protected by a reef and pool is a large swimming - swimming well at high tide, the West has a very strong Undertow but then. Especially at the end good for surfers. Beautiful at low tide for kids, parents, and not so good swimmers to the splash. Had the chance to swim early February 2016 several times with a large turtle. Best restaurant on the beach is the Wijaya! Usually very crowded! My tip for the meal: Pizza from the wood-fired oven and grilled Tuna Steak: perfectly :-))) we lived right next door in the Point de Galle - huge room with balcony, super views of it sea. Unfortunately something used and the Manager is a strange character...
