Jungle Beach, Unawatuna

3.4
Enjoy a swim at Jungle Beach, a secluded stretch of sand with gentle, calm waters. To access the beach, you need to drive or hike up to the Peace Pagoda, then climb down the steps through the jungle vegetation, meaning the beach remains less crowded than its nearby counterparts. Pick a sunbed near the beach bar, sunbathe, and have a refreshing drink, or drift further away to a quieter, more deserted part of the beach for some rest and relaxation. • The beach consists of two beaches, small, where hordes of Hindus stinks debris but excellent bottom, no waves, as well as sun beds and large, where Hindus, but many stones in the water near the shore and have a small wave. The passage between the bottom stones. The times will come down.

  • The beach did not impress me at all! We got there at the weekend. There was just unreal the number of locals. They staged there family picnics, feasts, bathed, drank. The fields it is, rather, the Bay, the ocean, and there's no feeling of Arda is not transparent. I've since realized that he is popular among the local, and ikristy prefer to relax on the beach at the ocean!

  • Steep though well paved walk to a small, isolated and fairly quiet beach with nice sand. A small bar. Seems to have a fairly good atmosphere.
  • yeah nice beach, definitely worth a look, track is a bit worn away but is fine, just take your time is not far down. the north end of the beach was busy with local fellas playing cricket and being an aussie i joined them for a few overs, but they were all a bit drunk so worth being careful with them, i kept my girlfriend back a little . south end had plenty of tourists so felt comfortable there. the beach is nothing special, fair bit of rubbish as most places seem to be in SL unfortunately, but if u r exploring around the area, worth to come for a look . 😀👍
  • Best beach ever..calm and lovely tides.. suitable for swimming(any time) and snorkeling(in season)..
  • Not bad. But a misleading name. Maybe it was a jungle many years ago. It's just an ordinary small bay these days. Full of often intoxicated local tourists
  • Great place in Galle. Must visit!
