Jungle Beach, Unawatuna
(3.5/5 based on 1,500+ reviews on the web)
Enjoy a swim at Jungle Beach, a secluded stretch of sand with gentle, calm waters. To access the beach, you need to drive or hike up to the Peace Pagoda, then climb down the steps through the jungle vegetation, meaning the beach remains less crowded than its nearby counterparts. Pick a sunbed near the beach bar, sunbathe, and have a refreshing drink, or drift further away to a quieter, more deserted part of the beach for some rest and relaxation. • Been on this beautiful beach. The road trudnovata. Descent on the rocks after a rain-unpleasant. Little beach. At Café Deckchair NET. Time poseshhnnija Beach was selected unsuccessfully-full moon-full moon holiday. Such a large number of Sri Lankans who in one place I simply had not seen. In the morning there were a lot of tourists, but in the afternoon the beach was strewn with "walking" the Lankans. From the tourists vanished. People don't go to Jungle Beach in celebration of the full moon. On other days the beach is magnificent.

  • To reach this beach you need to walk a nice trail in the jungle, and at the end you're rewarded with a small beach with scenic views.
  • Long road but it worth it, especially if you cannot swim well. On the way you can use the shower on the hill near the little house. Be careful, local man can ask you money, but it is free! Far to go, but it's worth it, there is calm and there are no waves. Well, if you do not know how to swim:) Better to go by, especially a girl, because there's some local. On the way back there is a shower and toilet outside one House. They are free! But the local man tries to dissolve the salvage you will likely:) Monkey may or may not be as lucky, can feed them with your hands.

  • Not very easy to get there especially with small children. You should be careful when swimming as there are big and sharp rocks under the water almost everywhere. But very nice place for watching sunset and restaurant is also very good and not expensive.
  • The water is very dirty. Packets, pieces of food and other things are all over the beach and water. And nobody even tries to clean it. Though the lagoon is quite calm. A lot of stones in the water, it's hard to walk in.
  • Beautiful beach with a lesser crowd. Amazing sunset
  • Nice view and very calm beach. But still have to be careful with weird people trying to socialize randomly and trying to hit on all passing tourists.
  • This is a superb place to all the foreigners and to the localists. I had an awesome experience over here with a group of friends.
