  • Gal Potha or book of stone is a big slab of stone of about 25 tons of weight and, therefore, is difficult to imagine how transported it to the place now. It is very interesting reading of the label that next to the rock that explains you need to understand the inscription on the stone, the longest in the country with its nine meters long. It is located in another area of the archaeological complex known as "The quad", which is not far from the area of the Royal Palace. Only is an elongated stone, but with much history, an archaeological treasure. Greetings to all travelers.

  • It's a huge stone carved with Scriptures located in the old part of the city of Polonnaruwa, on the side of the quadrangle, where various monuments of great importance are concentrated. It is in the area of payment from the city, whose price is $ 25 per person, or 3300 rupees, expensive but worth.
