  • I was really impressed with this museum probably the best one I'd seen in Sri Lanka. Many many interesting artefacts, a lot of culture and history. Pleasant cool building to walk around and well laid ...  more »
  • Visit in the company of our guide. A lot of spaces to discover with great historical pieces. Visit to predict at the beginning of stay so to better understand all the websites visited subsequently.

  • In the Museum there are several rooms dedicated to specific themes. The outer city, the Citadel, the monastery and the various Hindu monuments. There are several bronze statues and between them also some of Shiva. It is useful to see the Museum to better understand what you'll appreciate after directly to the archaeological site.
