Baker's Falls is a famous waterfall in Sri Lanka. It is situated in Horton Plains National Park on a tributary of the Belihul Oya. The height of the Baker's waterfalls is 20m. The falls were named after Sir Samuel Baker, who was a famous explorer. Many Rhododendron and Fern bushes can be seen around the waterfall.

  • It is in the middle of the 9km hike. The signs are very clear there to the waterfall and it is safe and amazing. Take your time in smelling the fresh air and let the breeze of this waterfall touch you...  more »
  • The waterfall was impressive, although not excessively water was plentiful. We went to the accessible views site still a platform to the left. The descent on the slippery road is a bit exhausting, but to cope well with stout footwear.

  • One of the highlights on a hike through the Horton Plains. Very nice and not too crowded during our visit. Place, after the hike very refreshing giant tree ferns and great vegetation.

  • baker is the british guy (during british colonial era) who shot and killed all the elephants in horton plains.. thanx to him hortan plains elephants extinct.. therefore its a shame to call this beautiful place after that monster..
  • One of awesome place in Nuwara Eliya Horton Plains U can find this while ur walk to world's end right side road. Surely it will help to give up your walking tired for a while.

  • Very beautiful waterfall in the Nuwara eliya area. And you have to walk around 4,5 km to see the place.
