  • It is a beautiful tea estate worth visiting. The tea we tasted there was good too. We bought 8/9 boxes of black tea(bopf). After returning we r disappointed to find that the tea in the box r literally...  more »

  • This place has changed owners and name. Now called Damro Tea. A guide takes you through areas where they make tea, shows you the different types of tea that produces, and finally invite you to a Cup. Then you can check out the shop. Let you walk free by tea fields.

  • Good place to check out for the trip up to nuweraeliya. The tour was pretty neat. The tour guide was a bit hard to understand. The tea was awesome. Check out the tea shop as well. Definitely would recommend this place
  • You get to hear a quick summary about how the tea is made and in the tasting room the guide tells you the difference between the various blends and what their abbreviations stand for. There is a small store attached to the main cafe where you can buy the tea. Whereas in the cafe you can enjoy a good cup of tea while looking over the panaromic view of the tea estate. Cakes and cookies are also available to compliment the tea. Only catch is none of them are halal. So for Musilms out there, enjoy the tea and the picturesque views, but refrain from the snacks
  • The tour here is great very interesting and you even get to see some workers. We then went through to have a tea and look in the gift shop. We were approached by the chef who asked if we wanted cake - we said no, just tea. We were then brought cake and tea. We weren't sure why we had cake and assumed it was free since everyone was eating it. We then finished our tea and walked out. We were in the gift shop and someone ran over to us and caused quite a fuss how we had not paid. He then spoke in another language to the gift shop man whilst we stood there and then he started to ignore us and we were very confused! We ended up paying but were so put off by what happened. We would happily have paid if it was all a bit more obvious what was happening.
  • Good tea and cakes.. a better place to enjoy your free time with friends and family.
  • Tea factory that offers a tour. Has a wonderful tea parlor where tourists can drink a hot cuppa amidst a misty and nippy climate. Tea is available to buy as well
