  • If you have never snorkelled before, then this could work for you but lower your expectations. The boat trip is only 10 min, a little bouncy but not too bad. My wife was 5.5 months pregnant and she ha...  more »
  • Very beautiful fish, different colors and sizes. My mom couldn't swim and she had to learn right there, because she liked the fish! In the Brigade on the island you can ask for help if you have problems. In General, you simply pull from Nilaveli to boat, taken to the island and leave, agreeing in advance when to return. A little scary, but there's so many people that sense of fear and a feeling of leaving the tight space and concern for fish. We were there for two or three hours. And please! Wear t-shirts and sweatshirts and swim right into them! Otherwise you obgorite. Still there are very sharp corals, don't go on them barefoot, my dad cut my legs lost their slippers when mum, because she did not have.

  • Pigeon Island National Park is one of the two marine national parks of Sri Lanka. The national park is situated around 1 km off the coast of Nilaveli, a coastal town in Trincomalee, Eastern Province. This island is amazing for snorkeling around. We saw a good variety of fishes around the island including some black tip sharks and turtles. It was absolutely beautiful experience to swim with the shark and watch colorful fish. Snorkeling at Pigeon Island was a fun-filled and amazing experience. I could have spent a lot longer than three hours swimming around and viewing the amazing fish and coral in their natural habitat. I would advise for people to spend a whole...
  • SO MUCH FUN! You can dive in the sea with o2 tanks. You can even find friendly dolphins diving around. You can see lots of good things especially if you go there in the morning!
  • Heaven on the earth... Must see if you go to Sri Lanka. In one word to describe "heaven "
  • The most exciting trip I have ever been on. The island and the beach were magical. The best place to do snorkeling. The reef and the schools of fish you see there is unbelievable. They charge 750LKR for the pass to visit the island (For a group of people) A boat can be taken for 2000LKR to the island and return. Snorkeling gear is available with the boat guys and will cost 300LKR.
  • It is a small Island not far away from the Main Land. It's famous for snorkeling. You Don't need to be swimmer to snorkeling their. Also you can rent the equipment necessary on the Island.
