  • Proceeding towards the sea by Dutch channel will get you into the lagoon, a rich ecosystem of animals. Sipping a coconut real we get help from the expert eyes of the Ferryman to see monitor lizards, kingfishers, monkeys and whatever else it was possible to see in this piece of environment surrounded by mangroves. If they held the place a bit cleaner from garbage, it would gain a lot.

  • We did this walk this morning before taking our plane because we spent our last night at Negombo. This 1 h 30 walk was lovely in the channel, and then in the mangrove: we could see fishermen, with egrets, cormorants, an eagle, the monitor lizards, monkeys and many other colorful birds. All in a green landscape. Attention: points of interest indicated in tripadvisor and facebook are fake. Follow the route indicates by Google when you type the name of the Marsh in the search bar.
