  • Nice place to stop by for refreshments or just to rest. Named after Mr. Taylor who introduced Tea to then Ceylon. If you are a foreigner & want to buy gifts for your friends there this is a good place. High quality tea is available for here.
  • One of famous place among travelers to Nuwaraeliya via A7 highway.. Grate place for a rest and taste a high quality cup of tea.. Guaranteed it will take your breath out.. The museum must be improves, and the help from staff is low for the local tourists.Slightly prices are high, but that feeling cannot be measure in price... Cheers..!!
  • An utter disappointment! Old, stodgy food, arrived an hour late and staff unaware that some menu items had run out. Give this place a wide berth.
  • On my way to Colombo on 17th April 2017 at around 4.00 p.m. we just visited the Tea Castle for some lunch or a snack. 3- 4 families were there at that time in the restaurant floor. and we asked for a table as upstairs tables seems fully free. The person seems to be like the in charge of the restaurant does not seems to be welcoming any other guests and he did not bothered to look at our face straight. He simply said no lunch available and only sandwiches can be ordered. But his body language meant to us we are a bunch of beggars who came to his door step. "Well a bit better than that. :-(. " I am sure he does not know any hospitality which is an important thing in this industry. We drive up to Zesta tea cup and had a nice snack and a tea at around 5.30 p.m. We all decided to not to step in to any of the Mlesna outlets hereafter. I should add, the sales staff in the tea stores which is in the opposite of the restaurant floor also with same attitude.
  • lovely place, Had a delicious chocolate cake and some tea, Have to checkout the viewing tower(for a price), very friendly staff
