  • Yes, it's a tourist attraction. But still interesting. The territory is small, guide for the tip will tell all in your native language. You will be able to see, touch, hands the most interesting spices: vanilla, cloves, ginger, cocoa, turmeric etc. Then a story about drugs and goods in the store. You can make a shoulder massage. Shop more expensive supermarkets, but still without buying anything you don't go: spices, varicose veins, arthritis, diarrhea ...

  • We visited the Ranweli Spice Garden as expected from our tour. It is one of the many spice gardens that in Sri Lanka are everywhere. But I can't make a comparison because it is the only one we visited. Having said that the visit was very interesting, a very prepared escorted us into the garden and explained how each spice, herb or fruit is grown, processed and what are its benefits. It also followed a quick massage where there were some of the produce from the garden. At the end of the visit, it was possible to buy in the store all of their products, and certainly good quality but probably with prices adapted precisely to tourists: overpriced! It was however the only negative if one can define, otherwise a very enjoyable ride.

  • Loved the tour and all the products but especially the vanilla. It is out of this world good and my regret was not buying more. It is very strong so only need half of what you would use in recipes.
  • Very friendly tour around an exhibition garden - showcasing the different spices and the plants they come from. Make no mistake: this is all an elaborate sales pitch, albeit an interesting one. It all ends back to the shop where you get to buy anything you liked at very affordable prices
  • Good spices local made spices
  • Located across the street from the hotel's restaurant is pretty high quality. And display the food easy to understand.
