Take a relaxing stroll along Kandy Lake, an artificial body of water surrounded by the Kandy hills and overlooked by a famous temple, said to house the tooth of Buddha. The lake was created in 1807 by the last king of Kandy, and features a small island in the middle, supposedly used as the king’s private bathing spot. Take a boat ride or a walk around the lake perimeter to enjoy the views of the city and the picturesque natural setting. • 之前并没有预期到康提湖是如此之美。在小山丘的环绕之中甚至产生康提湖才是康提本身的错觉。这里有大量连不上名字的禽鸟。碧绿的湖水,一切都那么让人流连忘返。
  • Popular with locals and tourists alike. Careful crossing the road. About 4km around. Lots of fish, tortoise, water monitors and birdlife. Boat trips available. Temple of the Tooth is close by.
