Kalutara Beach, Kalutara
(2.3/5 based on 280+ reviews on the web)
An hour drive from Colombo, Kalutara Beach provides a huge stretch of fine rust-colored sand set over a background of vast blue sea. Clean and occasionally rough with sudden large waves appearing out of nowhere, the beach makes a good spot for board surfers and catamaran goers. Swimmers, however, should take extra caution and observe any posted red flags. You can join fishers drawing in their nets, and look for turtles. Onsite outfits offer elephant tours and monkey photos; you can also explore the many rivers by boat, but be aware of the crocodiles. Prepare for disorganized parking and a lack of public restrooms. • Away from the beach of paradise except when the sun goes down. The beach is dirty and the sea too rough to put something other than his feet.

  • Beautiful, long Strand.Sehr of high shaft speed, therefore unfortunately nothing really for swimming suitable. Not possible even for experienced swimmers. It's much too dangerous. A pity, therefore, is the Beach also Menschenleer.Es are also not only sun lounger.

  • Despite the presence of waves and red flags, all calm bathe and even children. The bottom is pretty shallow. The early days of fed-fights, but if you don't pay attention to them then you stop noticing.
