  • The temple is well maintained. But is not open at all times. It is good to attend the festival to learn more about Jaffna Tamil Hindu culture. Many small shops within walking distance. 
  • One of the biggest or the biggest kovil in Sri Lanka. P.S ; Men have to remove their shirts/t shirts when entering the kovil. 
  • No it seems but is the more ancient of jaffna. The wall paintings are beautiful and some older. It is worth visiting it

  • This is a very famous Murugan temple in Sri Lanka. And this temple has long history.
  • Nallur (Tamil: நல்லூர்; Sinhalese: නල්ලූර් ) is a town in the northern Jaffna District, Sri Lanka. It is located 3 km south from the city centre of Jaffna. Nallur is famous for the Nallur Kandaswamy temple a popular place of worship and respectively the largest Saiva temple on the peninsula. It is also famous for being the historical capital of the old Jaffna Kingdom and birthplace of renowned philosopher and theologian Arumuka Navalar.
  • Perhaps the most important Hindu kovil in Sri Lanka. Inside ambience is truly a wonderful experience for travelers. However you are not allowed to take photographs inside.
