  • For us, it was the most beautiful Hindu temple, which we have seen in SL and recommend a visit to Jaffna every traveller.

  • Gold and pastel colours give the place a solar atmosphere and airy without diminish the sanctity. worth the visit especially during the noisy puja (religious ceremonies) at 5:00 am, 10:00 am, 12.00, 4.15 pm (small puja), 4.30 pm (Grand puja), 5:00 pm and 6.45 pm during which brought offerings to the gods.

  • Its a religions hindu temple which is located near by the jaffna town. You can take a taxi from jaffna town to temple. Its the temple built by ancient hindu king shenpaka perumal. And when you visit the temple you can visit the kings place near by the temple itself also.
  • Nallur Kandaswamy Kovil or Nallur Murugan Kovil (Tamil: நல்லூர் கந்தசுவாமி கோவில்) is one of the most significant Hindu temples in the Jaffna District of Northern Province, Sri Lanka. It stands in the town of Nallur. The presiding deity is Lord Murugan in the form of the holy Vel. The idol of the Nallur Devi or goddess was given to the temple in the 10th century CE by the Chola queen Sembiyan Mahadevi, in the style of Sembian bronzes.
