Climb up to the 2,234 m (7,359 ft) summit of Adams Peak and take in the views of pristine surroundings. Considered a sacred site by many Buddhists, Hindus, Muslims, and Christians, the mountain's peak has an unusual, 1.8 m (5.9 ft) rock formation. Buddhists consider it the footprint of the Buddha; in the Hindu tradition it is that of Shiva; while Islam and Christianity consider it the footprint of Adam. Along the way to the top, take one of six marked trails, which are also linked to various cities surrounding the mountain. An important pilgrimage site among many religions, the mountain draws visitors of different faiths, who walk up with the aim of reaching the summit at sunrise. Worth the visit . Make sure you check the weather forecast and go. If you are an average climber you can get to the top in 3 hours in the off season.
